God had finished the work he had done and he rested from all his work. And God left all that he had done the universe and his angels and his priests were left to tell the word of his work which he did and they set the evening of the seventh day in every earth from the earths in which the sun shines and the sun comes for a memorial day, to speak At the end of the seventh day God left the universe and entrusted to his angels and priests the things which are written in the books that pass between the stars in the earths in which the sun shines and the sun comes.
Like a lonely hair, thin, in the heart of an abyss, a line of light, a disturbance in a field of vision full of empty black from end to end, it was seen from the transparent walls enveloping what C has called "the ferry" from the railing, covering it as a ceiling and it is standing here for three days according to "the stolen"' Stoli's new atomic watch, a watch ("it does not look so different than the watches they have on Earth") he had acquired at the entrance to the "ferry", could not remember if C was still with him at that stage of boarding the ferry. What is clear is that he is not with him now.
"And how did you pay for that watch, and for everything you bought there?"
"What do you mean how? As you pay in space, with an energetic credit card"
A man of space gadgets is "the stolen" Stoli, long before this concept was even dreamed up on Earth. He was the first to connect to a tiny key-sized cellular Internet ("my brand new key" he called it), as early as 1977, and even before this thing came to him, he had a tiny, pen-sized radio tuner that picked up radio stations broadcasting from distant light-years. Some say "the stolen" Stoli is the first importer of space music, and what he brings is real, original. All the rest create imitations of what they heard, and many of them heard it for the first time from him. No one has ever asked "the stolen" Stoli where he gets these things from, and all this was even before C came, in the end of August, and revived all our devices. It is therefore not surprising that "the stolen" has always been up to date on the interstellar agreed dates, and on a select list of dates on the federation's major planets, whose names did not tell us much, even though we made every effort to remember them. He always knew how to get up-to-date watches, and now he felt a little uncomfortable with that watch, which he has been coaxed, and actually forced to to purchase while he was boarding "the ferry". It does not suit him this situation, to be forced, and meanwhile he has lost C. but he was sure he would see him later.
For this journey, designed to watch "the rare event that repeats only once for a certain long long period of time in the universe", C invited me too. He promised me it would be 40 days round trip and 40 days back, through the latest jumps (so 'the latest', that you no longer feel the shocks. Everything is soft, both the elevation, also the landing). He really wanted me to document it on the blog, but I had very prosaic commitments, work that I had to complete and had not yet completed, uninteresting things, but probably important to me at this stage of life. So I contented myself with escorting C to the first and closest jumping station, or more correctly – the 'evasion zone', not far from his first landing station, "long time ago", in the 'old land'. It was eve of Shavuot, a year ago, and it was only when I came to accompany C to the 'evasion' that I learned that the stolen Stoli was also flying with him on the journey. I still believed that at the end of August they would return, like at the first time C landed here.
"And where did you get your energetic credit from?"
"We sold, before we left, a lot of things. I mean we broke up with things, and that's how we exchanged value for energy. That's what we did while you were waiting for us in that garden." I remembered something strange I heard from Meital, the newest participant in C's lecture sessions, when I met her about a month after C left. She already knew that C has left, because she had just before met Shefa , who was supposed to take out the things C had left in his apartment and keep them with him until C returned and found a new apartment. He told her that except of the bed and one empty closet, there was nothing in the apartment!
"Where did you do that, most of the stores were already closed"
"Basic you were and stay, bro. Have you never heard C tell about conversion points?"
I have heard C not once and not twice (mostly since the 90s) talking about conversion points. To me they remained a mystery, just like the 'evasion zones' and the 'round squares' and the 'screenings' about which C also said they were on Earth but only he always knew where to find them, even near his home, far from the 'old land'.
"So in one of these we did a property conversion and opened an energy bill connected to the telepathic internet. So when we got to space we could recharge the energy credit at every station we got to. That way, we also had the speed to get to the evasion zone, when you could not reach us."
"So the Earth is more networked than I thought, and from what C told us"
"By the way" he added "Do not ask me to show you my 'credit card'.
It's just deleted, i mean it physically! as soon as my energy bill balance was zero. I was lucky to get to the ground just before that."
The new jumps are a pretty boring thing, Stoli says (Although they are really soft, and have almost no shock). You hardly see the stars on the way, the systems. Not even streaks of light. Just a black space, until you get close to the station, then the little lights start to appear. You can only imagine how far all this is, and how far the final stop is, from Earth. From jump to jump, from station to station, the number of joiners increased, those who were seen and those who were not seen, and those who were in the darkness-of-space, but Stoli, who was always passionate about connections of all kinds, was too tired to connect this time, and could not explain why.
Even the stations do not have very exciting views. C said it used to be different. now there something which looks exactly like endlessly smooth crystal floors, the light reflected from them is projected onto you into the capillaries, you would be pretty upset, Stoli tells me, and he's probably right. This is especially disturbing when you want to grab a sleep, and hotels are expensive in space as well, and mostly now occupied in their travel path. There are all sorts of positions of souvenirs or useful objects sale, such as breathing adapters. and feeding tubes in different sizes and shades, do not really attract the human eye, but the taste of the feed is actually not bad. Gray positions, almost invisible, not as we imagine sale positions at our stations, humans on Earth ("a bit like a mall, but bigger, much much bigger, and no less boring"). But a kind of vitality was there, an unfamiliar stimulating flow on Earth, something invisible which bounces the nerves. And C who always knows what is needed, urges Stoli to purchase things at all the stations, until they reach the last station, where it is more crowded, because from there the "observation ferry" will take off. On the way, not as usual, Stoli did not try to make friends with all the Aglanis, Gonais, Saloha and everyone else, whatever their name may be.
C explained to "the stolen" Stoli the significance of the event. the event of the ‘abandonment of the creative power’ of the universe, only when they were on the way, far away from Earth. He explained to him that in the opinion of the sages of the High Galactic Schools of Reason, there was once, before the ("what you on Earth call") Big Bang, a critical mass of consciousness . A consciousness that may also have had a Knowing the purpose and cause, and the meaning of all the things, and all this left the universe once, in one moment, but it happens again and again, not often, but every time such mass accumulates again, again it glides from the universe through a crack, that simply is found in the space.
And it's happening now. Something is leaving the universe, and that's the cause of the thin line of light that is as thin as a hair and this is the crack, which everyone in the "ferry" is now standing and like staring, with captivated senses and consciousness or whatever they have, at its direction, and Stoli actually still does not understand what vibrates them so much about it.
And just now Stoli suddenly does realize that C is not in the close environment nor anywhere.
The stolen Stoli returned to Earth in October 2008, and from where he landed he arrived and entered Israel via the Taba Pass. He never told how he managed to recreate the way he did with C and return to Earth alone. In his opinion, C will no longer return to Earth.
