חיות החלל

סטולי הגנוב ,המתורגמן שהיה גם הטייס, עוזר הטייס, שני לוחמים של המורדים שהשתתפו איתם בפעולת החילוץ שלי, אני, והכחולה שהצטרפה אלינו באחת התחנות (והיתה, כפי שהסתבר, גם כן לוחמת, אולי הלוחמת), שבעה היינו, ילידיהן של חמש פלנטות ביקום, (כיוון שעוזר הטייס ואחד הלוחמים באו גם הם, כמו הגנוב וכמוני, מפלנטה אחת), בחללית שהיה מקום לעוד שני ילידי-יקום בגודל שלנו.
חללית כזאת נחשבת קטנה, קוראים לה "חללית שדה", וצורתה דומה לצורת סביבון. היא היתה שייכת פעם לצבא שתחת פיקוד האופל. סטולי הגנוב "פילח" אותה פעם מקבוצת חיילים של האופל, בהזדמנות אספר על זה.
זאת לא החללית הכי קטנה לנוסעים בגודל שלנו, יש קטנות ממנה, יש אפילו המותקנות לנוסע אחד בגודל שלנו, והן נקראות "חלליות כיס". להבדיל מ"חלליות ננסיות" שגם הן קיימות, אבל הן לא לנוסעים בגודל שלנו.

יש כמובן חלליות גדולות הרבה יותר.

מופלאות ביותר הן החלליות הגדולות, "הספינות" שפרושות על פני מימדים במרחב ובזמן. כאלה, אי אפשר ממש לתאר את הצורה שלהן, כי בעצם אין להן צורה.

ראיתי מקומות שבהם חנו חלליות מכל הסוגים, זה מגוון שקשה לתאר. רק לשים את כל מה שראיתי תחת המילה האחת: "חלליות". על שטחים בגודל העולם, חנו זה בצד זה "הספינות" חסרות הצורה (שרק חלק קטן שלהן אפשר היה בכלל לראות במימד) לצד חלליות מרובעות (בעיקר "חלליות משא" ו"קרב כבד"), משולשות, עגולות, חרוטות, רב-צלעיות, מפוסלות, "חלליות פיקאסו" (אני קראתי להן כך), "חלליות תולעת" ארוכות ודקות, חלליות ננסיות, חלליות עם מחושים, "חלליות מחרשה" וגם חלליות שנראו כמו כדורים או גלים של צבע ואנרגיה. חלליות "חיידקיות" בגודל של מטבע ואף קטנות מכך, שנראו כמו לא יותר מנקודות צבעוניות או בוהקות באויר.

אבל יש גם כאלה שאינם משתמשים בכלל בחלליות, הם דואים עם רוח החלל. חלק מהדואים, גדולי הצורה שביניהם, משמשים בעצמם כחלליות, יש הרבה סיפורים עליהם הקשורים בימי הקדם של הטיסה החללית, אבל משתמשים בהם גם כיום.
חלק מהדואים האלה, לא מכירים דרך קיום אחרת. הם נולדים בחלל, וצורכים את האוויר וההגנה שלהם מתוך עצמם. הם דואים טבעיים. אפשר להגדיר אותם כ"חיות חלל".
יש אומרים שהפלנטות כולן אינן אלא סוג של דואים טבעיים כאלה.

This is not the smallest spacecraft for passengers our size, some are smaller than it, some are even installed for one passenger our size, and are called "pocket spacecraft". Unlike "dwarf spacecraft" which also exist, but are not for passengers our size.

There are of course much larger spacecraft.

Most marvelous are the large spacecraft, the "ships" that are spread across dimensions in space and time. Such, it is impossible to really describe their shape, because in fact they have no shape.

I have seen places where spacecraft of all kinds have been parked, it is a variety that is hard to describe. Just put everything I saw under one word: "spaceships." On world-sized areas, the shapeless "ships" parked side by side (only a small part of which could be seen in dimension) alongside square spacecraft (mainly "cargo spacecraft" and "heavy battle"), triangular, round, engraved, multi-ribbed , Sculpted, "Picasso spaceships" (I called them that), long, thin "worm spaceships", dwarf spaceships, spaceships with tentacles, "plow spaceships" and even spaceships that looked like balls or waves of color and energy. "Bacterial" spaceships the size of a coin and even smaller than that, that looked like nothing more than colored or bright spots in the air.

But there are also those who do not use spaceships at all, they soar with the spirit of space. Some of the gliders, the large ones in between, are used as spacecraft themselves, there are many stories about them related to the ancient days of spacecraft flight, but they are still used today.
Some of these gliders, do not know another way of existence. They are born in space, and consume their air and protection from within themselves. They are natural gliders. They can be defined as "space animals".
